The Past:
have rewired entire computer network which consist of multiple buildings. With this upgrade we replaced 10mbit with token ring hubs that where atleast a decade old. We upgraded with CAT5e, ran conduit from one building to another. We upgraded to gigabit speeds, installed a pfsense router that load balances a 50/10 mbit comcast connection, a 20/4 comcast connection and a lower end DSL speed because that was all that was available.
This has been done in a fashion that if comcast happens to go down (which it has twice this year) DSL is a backup so all they ever notice is a slight slowness in speed meanwhile the system sends SMS messages to our cells so we can get Comcast out if we need to fix the issue.
We also installed an IP-PBX system with IVR's to take answering and routing calls off the hands of 1 person and let the computer do it so they are able to focus more on other key parts of their job increasing productivity.
We setup vFax and eFax and Print to Fax system, thus reducing the cost of toner, paper and not to mention the traditional cost of the phone bill ($500-1300 a month) to approx $440 a month. They got a lot of junk faxes... With the new system they only print the faxes they need and the rest get deleted.
We also upgraded several computers and replaced several. Setup 2 secure wireless internet connections, one in the back office and one that broadcast across the street to another dealership they own (B&C Commerical Vehicles) allowing that single computer to share the multiple internet connections and never expeirence down time.
